Warren Buffett Stocks 2025: Top Investments

Hear’s a breakdown of the key information from the provided text regarding berkshire Hathaway’s investments:

Berkshire Hathaway’s Cash Position:

Berkshire Hathaway has a massive cash pile – over $162.9 billion as of Q2.
This is larger than the combined market capitalization of Microsoft (MSFT),Alphabet (GOOG),Amazon (AMZN),and NVIDIA (NVDA).
Only around 30 publicly traded companies globally have a market cap exceeding Berkshire’s cash holdings.

Lennar (LEN): ~$800 million stake (homebuilder)
D.R. Horton (DHI): ~$190 million stake (homebuilder)
Nucor (NUE): ~$860 million stake (steel producer)
* UnitedHealth Group (UNH): Over $1.6 billion stake (health insurance). This is the most notable new buy, as UNH’s stock has fallen significantly (over 50% as December 2024) due to industry challenges and a tragic event (the fatal shooting of an executive). Buffett hasn’t commented, but it appears to be a classic “value play” – a strong company trading at a discounted price due to temporary issues.
