The championship game of the Tokyo Six Universities Baseball Autumn League was held at Jingu Stadium on the 12th, with Waseda University comfortably defeating Meiji University 4-0, winning the championship for the second consecutive season and for the 48th time, breaking the record. This is Waseda University’s first consecutive victory since 2015 Spring/Autumn, and they will be participating in the Meiji-Jingu Tournament, which opens on the 20th.
Waseda University took the lead by one point in the second inning in the 13th championship game, the first since the fall of 2010, with the teams tied at 4 points, 8 wins, 3 losses, and 2 draws. In the fifth inning, they added three points with Ozawa’s two-run double. Ace Itsuki Ito had three hits and no walks, shutting out Meiji University, which was aiming for its first championship in three seasons.
