Isle of Wight Festival 2025: Sting, Timberlake & More

The Isle of Wight Festival 2025 delivered a weekend of diverse musical performances at Seaclose Park. The event showcased everything from pop-punk and indie rock to art-pop and electronic dance music.
The Lottery Winners launched the festival on Friday. The band, which formed in 2008 but didn’t release its debut album until 2020, engaged the crowd with lively banter and high-energy songs.
Twin Atlantic, a Scottish rock band, performed in the Big Top tent. Frontman Sam McTrusty energized the audience with a mix of hard rock and indie sounds, closing with a singalong to their 2014 hit, Heart & Soul.
Irish folk trio Amble, promoting their debut album Reverie, attracted new fans with their conventional sound. Frontman Robbie Cunningham shared that he had recently left his job as a teacher to pursue music full-time.
The Lathums, an indie rock band, played a retro set reminiscent of the 1960s. Their guitar work on the Great Escape echoed The Smiths, while frontman Alex Moore delivered powerful vocals.
Sting performed as the sun set, balancing hits from The Police with solo material such as Fields of Gold, desert Rose, and Englishman in New York. Part of his Sting 3.0 tour, his performance featured only a drummer and guitarist, creating a polished sound that captivated the audience.

Faithless, the 1990s dance legends, closed Friday night with a tribute to the late Maxi Jazz. Archive footage and Jazz’s vocals were featured. The group’s classic beats had the crowd dancing, ending the night with high energy.
Jess Glynne, returning to the Isle of Wight stage for the first time since 2016, performed her early hits. While her newer songs did not resonate as strongly, her vocal strength maintained the show’s momentum.
Justin Timberlake, backed by The Tennessee Kids, closed the festival. His performance included choreography and tight musicianship. Timberlake’s set, featuring songs like Rock Your Body and Mirrors, was a masterclass in festival headlining. Timberlake said he had wanted to play the festival for a long time.
