Casey’s Center to Replace Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines

The Iowa Events Center announced that Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines is set to officially become Casey’s Center on July 1. Preparations are underway, with crews scheduled to begin removing the Wells Fargo signage on Monday, June 9.This name change marks the end of a 20-year agreement and the start of a new era with Casey’s General Stores.
The Ankeny-based convenience store chain secured the naming rights after about eight months of discussions with Polk County and oak View Group, which operates the Iowa Events Center. The agreement brings significant changes to the 17,000-seat arena.

The physical change, including sign removal and preparation, is expected to last approximately two weeks. Following this,the new Casey’s Center signage will be installed across the arena’s exterior.
As part of the deal, Casey’s is investing $18.3 million for the naming rights.The transition will also introduce a new Casey’s grab-and-go store near the arena’s south entrance, along with updated food options such as Casey’s pizza and branded snacks. Improved concourse wayfinding and new exterior digital signage are also planned.
