Updated May 26, 2025
WellTheory, a platform focused on whole-person care for autoimmune diseases, has obtained $5 million in funding. The investment supports the rollout of its AI-powered tools, Care Hub and Care Scribe, across its care operations. This funding aims to enhance personalized autoimmune care and expand market reach.
Samsung Next, Opal Ventures, and Up2 Fund are among the new investors in this round. Accel, OVO Fund, and BoxGroup, previous investors, also participated.
The new capital will support WellTheory’s expansion into employer and health plan markets. It will also accelerate the development of its AI-driven care infrastructure for both providers and members, improving access to autoimmune care.
AI Tools Streamline Autoimmune Care Delivery
Care Scribe and care Hub are central to WellTheory’s AI strategy. Care Scribe assists the care team by transcribing sessions and drafting personalized care plans. The Care Hub consolidates member data and automates tasks.
Care Scribe has reduced provider readiness and documentation time by 65%, according to WellTheory. The Care Hub streamlines pre- and post-session tasks, automating compliance tracking.
“AI is no longer a nice-to-have in care delivery — its essential infrastructure,” said Ellen Rudolph, CEO and Co-founder of WellTheory. “This new round of funding is allowing us to double down on our AI strategy, streamline the most time-consuming parts of care, and expand into new markets.”
What’s next
With the new funding, WellTheory plans to broaden its partnerships with employers and health plans, making its whole-person, root-cause autoimmune care more accessible and effective.
