Infront, the sports marketing agency, has prolonged its exclusive marketing partnership with SV Werder Bremen, a top-tier Bundesliga soccer club, through the 2035-36 season. This early extension builds upon their existing agreement, initially set to run until the end of the 2028-29 season.
As 2008,Infront has managed Werder Bremen’s key commercial rights, including primary and front-of-shirt sponsorships. The agency also handles stadium-related rights, such as LED advertising boards and video walls at Weserstadion. Revenue from these contracts is divided equally between Werder bremen,Infront, and Bremer weserstadion GmbH (BWS).
Klaus Filbry, chief executive of Werder Bremen, emphasized the importance of the extended collaboration. He said the expansion of their collaboration with Infront is positive in every respect and represents an crucial step toward ongoing consolidation, especially given the financial challenges facing BWS.
A primary objective for Infront is securing a new stadium naming rights partner. This became necessary after real estate group wohninvest ended its lucrative deal five years early due to bankruptcy. Infront brokered the Wohninvest deal in 2019, a 10-year agreement valued at approximately €30 million ($33.7 million). The stadium was known as Wohinvest Weserstadion from July 2019 to June 2024.

Marco sautner, managing director of Infront Germany, expressed his enthusiasm for the continued partnership. He said the early extension of their partnership with SV Werder Bremen is a strong sign of mutual trust and their shared vision to further develop the club’s financial success. He added that the Weserstadion is one of Germany’s most iconic stadiums, and it is their goal to continue to create attractive marketing solutions that strengthen SV Werder in the long term.
in addition to Werder Bremen, Infront also manages marketing rights for FC Koln and Mainz. The agency also holds a media rights deal with the Bundesliga, managing the media rights portfolio for both the top-tier Bundesliga and second-tier 2.Bundesliga across various European territories from 2025-26 through 2028-29. This includes all 617 matches from both leagues, the German Supercup, and relegation playoff games.
What’s next
Infront will focus on securing a new stadium naming rights deal for Werder Bremen while continuing to manage and enhance the club’s commercial partnerships through the 2035-36 season.
