Wes Anderson Still Hopes to Cast Jodie Foster in a Future Film

Despite his knack for assembling stellar casts, director Wes Anderson has yet to successfully collaborate with Jodie Foster. Anderson recently admitted he has tried “so many” times to cast Foster in his movies,but scheduling or other factors always interfered. He did not specify which roles he had in mind for her.
Anderson told Collider that he consistently pursued Foster for roles early in his career. He said he met her, liked her, and thought he would be able to cast her. he added that he thinks Foster is great and that he loves her.
Anderson remains hopeful about a future collaboration.He acknowledged that actors sometimes have specific career goals that might not align with his projects. His latest film, The Phoenician Scheme, stars Benicio del Toro as Zsa-zsa Korda, a wealthy businessman whose nun daughter, Sister Liesl (Mia Threapleton), becomes the target of a deadly plot after being named his sole heir.
