Israel has approved plans for 22 new settlements in the West Bank, a move spearheaded by defense Minister Israel Katz and Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich.The initiative aims to renew settlement activity in northern Samaria and establish new communities along the Jordan Valley border.
The Defense Ministry stated that this decision follows the repeal of the Disengagement Law in specific areas, paving the way for renewed activity in Homesh and Sa-nur. The plan seeks to expand settlement infrastructure and bolster Israel’s strategic position in the region. Residential activity will return to previously evacuated areas,and four new settlements will be created along the eastern border near Jordan.
