West Liberty University Names 2026 Inductees

The university selected four graduates for the 2026 recognition. The group features David Bridgeman of New Martinsville, Todd Cover of Bellaire, Joyce Jingle of Ohio County, and Richard L. Morgan of the Ohio Valley.

This group of inductees, in particular, has had a long history of service to the region and has made our communities stronger.

Professional Backgrounds and Regional Impact

David Bridgeman graduated in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology before earning his D.D.S. from the West Virginia University School of Dentistry in 1980. He practiced dentistry in New Martinsville for 45 years until retiring in 2025, focusing on preventive and conservative restorative therapies. His honors include the Robert B. Bridgeman Distinguished Dentist Award presented by the West Virginia Dental Association in 2025.

West Liberty University Announces 2026 Alumni Wall of Honor Inductees

Todd Cover graduated in 1998 with a marketing and management degree and serves as president and chief executive officer of Belmont Savings Bank in Bellaire. He spent four years as an examiner with the West Virginia Division of Financial Institutions and leads the Wheeling Health Right board. Joyce Jingle completed her degree in 1978 and taught music for 47 years, including 45 years within Ohio County Schools, directing Wheeling Park High School choirs to three West Virginia State Honor Choir titles.

Richard L. Morgan earned his art education degree in 2001 and spent 25 years with the Oglebay Institute’s Stifel Fine Arts Center. He directed art education and the center itself, developing programs such as the Art Explorers initiative and Ceramics Take Over Wheeling.

Homecoming Weekend Induction Ceremony

The university maintains the Alumni Wall of Honor on the third floor of the Paul Elbin Library on the campus. The institution will formally induct the four honorees on Friday, Oct. 16, starting at 5:30 p.m. at the President’s Recognition Dinner. The dinner forms part of the annual Homecoming celebration on campus.
