West Limerick Company Unveils New Website and Christmas Event Launch
West Limerick Company Relaunches with New Website and Christmas Event
Irish Dresden, a well-known ceramic manufacturer based in Dromcollogher, has relaunched with a new website. The company will also host a Christmas event from November 29 to December 1, in partnership with Adare Cottage.
Irish Dresden stopped production in May 2023 after 61 years. Kristian Schnittger-Saar, the grandson of the late founder, expressed excitement about the relaunch, noting the positive reactions received.
He emphasized the importance of support from Limerick County Council, West Limerick Resources, and Fáilte Ireland for their business expansion grant application. Kristian stated, “Without that support, it would be very difficult to make the progress we’ve made.” He added that moving the business online provides a more direct route to customers and allows them to share feedback.
The Christmas shopping event will take place at the Irish Dresden factory, offering a wider selection of products from both Irish Dresden and Adare Cottage. Kristian highlighted the factory as a fantastic venue with ample parking. They will offer complimentary gift wrapping for shoppers.
Kristian’s aunt, Sabina Saar, previously ran the business alone and considered selling it. However, Kristian and Sabina decided to preserve their family legacy after the passing of their grandmother, Johanna Saar, in April 2021. Kristian, who grew up in Ireland with German roots, attributed the business’s endurance to their family’s move to Ireland in the 1960s.
