Home remodeling provider West Shore Home has expanded its regional footprint by launching operations in Hartford, Connecticut, and Minneapolis, Minnesota, according to company announcements. The entries introduce the company’s technology-driven bathroom, window, door, and flooring renovation services to two distinct metropolitan housing markets facing severe inventory shortages and aging residential infrastructure.

Hartford Expansion Targets New England’s Tightest Housing Inventory

The Hartford entry marks West Shore Home’s third New England location, following two Greater Boston market launches earlier this year, according to company data. The expansion places the firm in a region that Realtor.com ranked as the top housing market among the 100 largest metro areas in the United States for 2026. The Hartford-West Hartford-East Hartford metro area houses approximately 1.17 million residents who face climbing property values and historic inventory constraints. Home prices in the area have risen 23.6% year over year, while housing inventory sits roughly 63% below pre-pandemic levels, according to company releases. Aging residential stock in Connecticut drives local demand for home improvement over relocation. Approximately 72% of homes in the Hartford area were built before 1970, and more than 40% predate 1939, with the state’s median year of housing construction recorded at 1966. West Shore Home established its local base at 75 Brainard Rd., Hartford, CT 06114, where it will hire locally for design, installation, plumbing, and management positions.

Twin Cities Launch Fills Gap Left by Prior Provider

In Minnesota, West Shore Home entered the Minneapolis market to serve a metro population of nearly 3.76 million residents, according to corporate statements. The move comes as the local remodeling sector absorbs the departure of a major local provider, creating a service gap as homeowners continue renovating current properties rather than moving. Minneapolis possesses older housing stock, with roughly 64% of homes built before 1970 and over 42% predating 1939. Homes in the city sell at a median price of $365,000, averaging 21 days on the market, while the broader Twin Cities median sale price reached $390,000, representing a 2.1% year-over-year increase. “Minneapolis has been on our radar for some time,” said B.J. Werzyn, Founder and CEO of West Shore Home, citing the aging housing stock and the exit of a significant remodeling presence. The company’s new Minneapolis office operates at 8201 Brooklyn Blvd #100, Minneapolis, MN 55445, with local hiring underway across plumbing, design, installation, and management roles.

Technology Platform and Deployment Model

Both new markets will utilize West Shore Home’s proprietary technology platform to manage project consultations and installations. During consultations, designers employ Scan-to-Plan technology to build 3D digital replicas of spaces, giving homeowners real-time pricing before construction begins. Company-employed installers handle bathroom remodels in a few days, maintaining similar timelines for window, door, and flooring replacements. Headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, West Shore Home employs more than 3,000 workers across more than 40 markets serving 27 states. Since its founding in 2006 as a one-man window and door remodeler, the company has completed over 330,000 home renovations, utilizing its accumulated dataset to power AI-driven scheduling and resource allocation systems.
