The Combat Antisemitism Movement (CAM) has identified Western Europe as the primary epicenter of antisemitic activity globally over a recent two-week monitoring period. According to a report released by the organization’s Antisemitism Research Center (ARC) on April 9, 2026, 111 incidents were recorded in Western Europe, accounting for 42% of the 263 total global incidents tracked during that timeframe.
The United States followed as the second most affected region, with 69 recorded incidents, representing 26% of the global total. The ARC monitoring included various forms of antisemitism, including violence, threats, discrimination, and rhetoric.
Incidents in Europe
The report highlighted several violent attacks and legal developments across Europe. In Germany, a restaurant owned by a Jewish individual in Munich was targeted in a firebombing that resulted in extensive damage.
In the Netherlands, an explosive device was detonated outside a Christian institution in Nijkerk that is identified as pro-Israel.
Legal actions were also noted in France, where Member of the European Parliament (MEP) Rima Hassan was arrested. The arrest followed a social media post that appeared to justify a terrorist attack occurring at Israel’s main international airport in 1972.
Global Developments and Rhetoric
Beyond Europe and the United States, the CAM report documented attacks and hostile rhetoric in several other countries. In Turkey, the Israeli Consulate in Istanbul was the target of an attack carried out by three gunmen.

Hostile political rhetoric was recorded in Pakistan, where Defense Minister Khawaja Asif used a post on the platform X to describe Israel as a cancerous state
and a curse for humanity
.
In Brazil, antisemitic sentiment was documented in Rio de Janeiro, where a sign at a bar stated that citizens of the United States and Israel were not welcome
.
Domestic Incidents in the United States
The report also noted specific criminal activity within the United States. In New Jersey, a man has been charged with bias intimidation, criminal trespass, and arson. The charges stem from an incident where the individual broke into a residence, started a fire, and carved antisemitic messages into the walls of the home.
