Irish pop sensation Westlife is marking a quarter-century of global hits with a landmark 25th anniversary celebration, launching a new greatest hits album, a world tour, and a series of high-profile concerts across Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
The group, known for their string of number-one singles and albums, has just released 25 – The Ultimate Collection, a 25-track compilation spanning their career. The album, originally scheduled for February 2026, was pushed back to May 8, 2026, due to “unavoidable scheduling changes.” It will be promoted by the Westlife 25: The Anniversary World Tour, which kicked off in October 2025 and is set to run through November 2026.
The tour is already generating excitement, with Westlife set to perform at some of the biggest venues in the world. In January 2027, the group will headline the Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) Main Stadium in Jakarta, Indonesia, as part of the Asian leg of their tour. This marks a significant upgrade from their previous GBK show in 2023, with promoters Folagopro and Sound Rhythm confirming a much larger production. Tickets for the Jakarta concert are already on sale, with the event scheduled for January 23, 2027.
Westlife’s Australian and New Zealand tour, also in July 2027, will be their first visit to the region in two decades. The group will perform across five cities, including Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Auckland, and Christchurch. The tour will feature a setlist spanning their entire career, including timeless ballads and global chart-toppers, and will be supported by their new album.
In a recent interview, Westlife reflected on their enduring success, with one member quipping, “Simon Cowell was right—our songs have stood the test of time, and so have we.” The comment underscores the group’s resilience and the lasting impact of their music, which has sold over 55 million records worldwide.
With their 25th anniversary celebrations well underway, Westlife is poised to deliver a series of unforgettable performances, celebrating not only their musical legacy but also their continued relevance in the global pop landscape.
For fans eager to catch the group live, ticket sales for the Jakarta concert are now open, and details for the Australian and New Zealand tour will be announced in the coming months.
