WhatsApp lets you manage contact sync on Android > News/News
The latest WhatsApp beta version 2.24.18.14 for Android introduces an exciting new feature: contact sync management. This works in conjunction with the ability to use multiple WhatsApp accounts on the same phone.
You can have separate contacts for each account. You can choose which contacts to sync to your phone and manage your WhatsApp contacts on your connected devices. So you can disable syncing from your secondary WhatsApp account to your phone if you want.
Interestingly, even if you disable contact sync for your account, you can still manually sync individual contacts with the upcoming beta release. When you manually sync your contacts, they will be available on all your linked devices. There’s also a new contact backup option that allows you to restore your contacts when you reinstall the app.
As always, WhatsApp features are in development, so it will likely take at least a few months for them to be available to everyone.
