A Mother’s Perspective on Education and Child Development
I am a mother of three siblings, ranging from university students to elementary school students. As a parent, I have always been interested in exploring the best ways to support my children’s education and development.
The series “Ginta with” began serialization in Kodansha’s magazine “with class” while my eldest son, Ginta, was attending Kaisei High School. In 2022, he published the book “How to Study and Play at Home.”
In this blog, I share my daily life experiences, including housework, childcare, and my children’s studies. I also appreciate the comments and feedback from readers, which encourage me to continue sharing my thoughts and experiences.
Recently, I received a comment about my youngest son, Ponzaburou, and his potential. I would like to share my thoughts on this topic. According to his karate teacher, who also raised Ginta and Konjiro, Ponzaburou has started to understand things properly recently, and his potential is promising.
However, I must admit that I no longer have the will, energy, or time to dedicate to his education as I did with my older sons. Back then, I had the time, energy, and spirit to support their studies, but now my circumstances have changed.
Therefore, it is impossible for me to put into practice what is written in Ginta’s book on Ponzaburou. I had neglected his education until now, and he spent his childhood watching YouTube, so it’s too late now.
I will be reporting in real-time on Ponzaburou’s personality and the relaxed education I am providing him, tailored to his current family environment. I hope that this will be helpful to someone.
I also plan to write about my thoughts on improving my Kanji and English skills in my next post. Ginta doesn’t even do the drills that Ponzaburou occasionally does, which were handed down from Konjiro, who didn’t take part in the challenge.
Ginta’s Books
Ginta took the junior high school entrance exam without going to a cram school. His book is a half-manga story about the methods children have used since childhood to make studying fun and reduce the time spent studying at their desks.
