Wild About Compassion: Paris Hosts Urban Animal Festival to Unleash a Wave of Animal Welfare Awareness
Urban Animals Festival: Raising Awareness for Animal Welfare in Paris
Raising awareness among Parisians about the place and well-being of animals in the city is the primary objective of the “Urban Animals Festival” taking place on October 12, 2024, in Montessori Park.
The festival aims to improve the understanding of children and adults in urban environments about animal welfare. The City Animal Festival is the perfect opportunity to learn about the different species living among us. On October 12, 2024, from 2 pm to 5 pm, Montesouris Park will welcome members of the public to meet with animal and urban environment consultants and participate in a series of activities.
The event is free, and participants will have the opportunity to meet and talk with over twenty SPCA professionals, learn about their activities, and witness demonstrations. The festival will pay homage to the animals closely associated with the daily lives of Parisians, whether domestic, farmed, or wild.
Attendees can learn about responsible pet ownership, human rights and responsibilities towards animals, animal abandonment, abuse, and trafficking, care of injured wild animals, and animal mediation.
