Wild Encounters Await: Thoiry Zoo’s Unforgettable Festi’Nature Celebration
Nature Festival at ZooSafari in Thooiry: Protecting Flora and Fauna
Join us at the ZooSafari in Thooiry on September 21 and 22, 2024, for our first-ever Nature Festival, an event dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of protecting our planet’s flora and fauna.
Take advantage of the Heritage Days to visit the Yvelines with your family and discover the wonders of the animal kingdom at ZooSafari in Thooiry. Our Nature Festival offers a unique opportunity to get up close and personal with various animals, learn about their habitats, and understand the need to protect them.
On September 21 and 22, 2024, explore the animal world with your family and participate in exciting activities, including:
- Learning about beehives and their importance in our ecosystem
- Protecting red squirrels through an origami workshop
- Building an insect hotel to provide a habitat for beneficial insects
- Identifying wildlife tracks and footprints to better understand the animal world
Additionally, become a “Nursing Apprentice” at our Nursing Centre, “The Oak,” and participate in our fun-filled festival by purchasing a park ticket.
Our Nature Festival also features three nature-themed exhibitions:
- “D’un monde à l’autre” (From one world to another), a unique encounter between the worlds of painter Clotilde Briand and photographer Valérie Robin
- An exhibition of stunning naturalist photography by Stéphane Delpierre
- An exhibition organized by the Association for Culture and Communication, highlighting the plight of endangered species in Europe, including bears and lynx
