Wilson Dynapwr Forged Irons (2026): AI-Powered Distance & Feel

by David Thompson - Sports Editor

Wilson Golf is making a significant push in the player’s distance iron market with the release of its 2026 Dynapwr Forged irons. Building on the success of previous models, the new irons integrate artificial intelligence technology to enhance performance and offer a blend of precision, feel, and control.

The 2026 Dynapwr Forged irons are positioned as a key component of Wilson’s revitalized lineup, filling a gap between the Staff Model XB and the standard Dynapwr irons. According to Wilson CAD engineer Ben Hanser, the new iron is “a statement of Wilson’s dedication to innovation and tradition,” combining forging expertise with AI-driven design to deliver distance, control, and feel.

One of the key improvements in the 2026 model is the optimized face thickness achieved through AI simulation. This innovation eliminates the need for the power holes found in previous Dynapwr Forged irons, boosting face flex and increasing ball speeds. The irons also feature a new PKR-CUP face design, overlapping the face around the sole to further enhance flex, particularly on lower strikes.

Wilson has also focused on improving the feel of the irons. The cavities in the 3- to 9-iron are filled with urethane, enhancing feel while maintaining a stable internal structure. The irons are crafted from Forged 8620 Carbon Steel.

The Dynapwr Forged irons are designed for players who are advancing their ball-striking ability and seeking a more premium feel without sacrificing forgiveness, and speed. They represent a step up from more forgiving irons, appealing to players who are consistently improving their game.

The release of the Dynapwr Forged completes Wilson’s 2026 iron lineup, which also includes the Staff Model Blade and Staff Model CB irons. This comprehensive range ensures that Wilson has an offering for a wide variety of players.

The 2026 Dynapwr Forged irons are available for pre-order starting and will be available at retail locations on . A full set (5-GW) with steel shafts will cost $1,199.99, while a set with graphite shafts will be priced at $1,299.99. 3- and 4-irons are also available through custom orders.

The Dynapwr Forged enters a competitive player’s distance category alongside irons like the P790, JPX 925 Forged, and Ti Fusion. Wilson’s offering is positioned on the larger and faster end of that spectrum, while the Staff Model XB caters to players seeking a more refined performance profile.

The new irons build on a strong track record for Wilson, with previous entries consistently ranking among the top five in player’s distance iron testing since 2018, including the 2020 D7 Forged winning overall honors.
