Listeners have sixty seconds to answer ten trivia questions for a cash prize of $1,000 during an upcoming radio contest scheduled from October 12, 2026, through October 16, 2026, audacy.com reported. The Thousand Dollar Minute contest takes place on WCBS-FM, offering a total of up to five contest plays and a potential of up to five verified winners across the week.
To participate in the game, individuals must listen to the station each weekday between 8:00 am and 9:00 am Eastern Time, starting Monday, October 12, 2026, and ending Friday, October 16, 2026, for the cue to call 1-800-367-1101. Station rules specify that up to five contest plays are available, with prizes awarded as a company check issued in the name of the winner only.
Contest Gameplay and Rules
Upon hearing the cue to call, participants must be among the first three callers. Each of these three callers will be asked to answer one screening question off-air. Giving a correct answer to the screening question is not a determinative factor in which caller is selected. Instead, station staff will determine in their sole discretion and judgment which caller advances based on having the best audio quality, phone connection, and clarity.
The selected contestant will have sixty seconds to correctly answer ten trivia questions asked one by one by the on-air announcer. The announcer will only move on to a next question once the contestant provides a correct answer. Contestants are allowed only one answer per question, and the first answer given is the only one accepted. Participants are permitted to pass on up to two questions, prompting the announcer to ask a new and different question without allotting extra time. A remaining pass can be used on a replacement question, counting toward the overall limit of two passes.
Prizes and Verification
The sixty-second timer begins immediately as the on-air announcer starts the first question. If the contestant correctly answers ten questions within the sixty seconds and passes eligibility verification, they will win a $1,000 prize courtesy of Audacy New York, LLC. If the contestant fails to answer ten questions within the time limit, the game ends without a winner.

Station staff serve as the official timekeepers and determine in their sole and absolute discretion whether each answer is correct, with decisions remaining unappealable. Verified winners will receive their checks mailed approximately fourteen weeks after the station receives all required paperwork.
