Winnipeg’s triumph was fueled by a three-goal surge in the final period. Kyle Connor and Mark scheifele each contributed a goal and two assists.
Connor’s game-winning goal came with just 1 minute, 36 seconds remaining in regulation. he fired a shot from the right side that eluded Blues goaltender Jordan Binnington.
“Sheif (Mark Scheifele) did an excellent job, I tried to send the puck as quickly as possible to the goal and it fell in,” Connor said.
