Witness for the Prosecution Turns Against Justice: Huang Jingmao’s Shocking Betrayal in the Jinghua City Case
Jinghua City Case: Investigation Reveals Financial Flows Between People’s Party Chairman and Weijin Group Chairman
The Taipei District Prosecutor’s Office is investigating financial flows between People’s Party Chairman Ke Wenzhe and Weijin Group Chairman Shen Qingjing. Interviewed Director of Public Affairs Huang Jingmao was charged with profiteering in court and transferred to the Beijing Public Security Bureau for further questioning.
The Jinghua City case was investigated by anti-corruption prosecutors, and People’s Party Chairman Kay Wenze (center) was questioned again yesterday.
Investigation Reveals Huang Jingmao’s Involvement
Huang Jingmao, convener of the Beijing City Case Force of the Beijing City Council, was turned from a witness to a defendant. Prosecutors have closely interrogated former Beijing City Deputy Mayor Peng Zhensheng over the past few days, finding that Peng was also tasked with instructing Ke Wenze to closely monitor the progress of Beijing City’s floor area ratio review.
According to the investigation, the draft of the Jinghua City Floor Area Ratio Case was sent to the Metropolitan Development Bureau in August and September 2020. At the time, the Metropolitan Development Bureau noted that “there were problems with the validity of the draft.” However, Huang Jingma, then director of the Metropolitan Development Bureau, also signed it.
Shen Qingjing’s Involvement in the Case
Whether Shen Qingjing’s key was involved in the flow of “1500” bribes, Ke Wenze yesterday still denied accepting bribes for Chen Peiki’s safe deposit, claiming that it was the family’s normal legal income.
Shen Qingjing was sent to the Taipei Detention Center for treatment for the second time after being taken into custody. The Taipei Institute confirmed that Shen Qingjing was sent to the hospital for treatment yesterday, but his physical condition cannot be disclosed due to confidentiality.
