Texas restaurant Owner Recounts Harrowing Cargo plane Crash

HOUSTON, TX – A local restaurant owner, who wishes to remain anonymous, has shared a chilling firsthand account of the fiery cargo plane crash that rocked the Houston area on Saturday.

Standing on the rooftop of his restaurant, the witness was just a few miles from the crash site when the plane went down. “One or two seconds after the crash, I felt a sudden rush of heat on my face, like you would when you opened the door to a sauna,” he recalled. “Do I need to get out of here?” he thought in that moment.

The witness described seeing “two or three residual blasts” following the initial impact. “The first blast — that you see in the video — was so big that I could see fragments spurting,” he said. “And I think I saw some debris. When the smaller blasts occurred, I only saw smoke and flames.”

Driven by a need to document the unfolding disaster, the witness descended from his rooftop and moved to a nearby building for a closer view. “I continued to feel the heat,” he said, noting that the intense flames prevented firefighters from approaching the wreckage. “They spread the water from about 100 to 130 feet away.”

The traumatic experience has left a lasting impact on the witness. “I couldn’t sleep last night,” he confessed. “Every time I closed my eyes, I kept seeing afterimages of the blast from the crash. I stared at my phone and the news because I couldn’t go to sleep. At 6 a.m. this morning, I decided to get up and go to my restaurant. I drank alcohol this evening, hoping it would help me sleep tonight.”
