WNBA Addresses Allegation of storm Coach Cursing Aces Player

The WNBA has addressed an allegation that a Seattle Storm assistant coach verbally abused a las Vegas Aces player following their game Sunday. A league source confirmed Wednesday that while the league is aware of the accusation, no formal investigation into the Seattle Storm is planned.
The source did not disclose the identity of either the accuser or the accused. The Aces previously lost to the Storm 75-70 at Climate Pledge arena. Earlier in the season, the Storm defeated the Aces 102-82 on May 25, also in Seattle.
This incident follows a previous complaint filed by Jewell Loyd against the Storm’s coaching staff after last season. Loyd was afterward traded to Las Vegas in a three-team deal Feb.1.
The Storm hired a law firm to investigate Loyd’s accusations of harassment and bullying related to player performance. The investigation concluded in December,finding no violations.
noelle Quinn, Storm head coach, stated in February that the organization handled the situation appropriately. “I believe that the organization did the right thing,” quinn saeid. “Throughout this entire process, the communication level was tremendously high.I felt supported in a lot of ways and I know my staff felt supported as well. With anything like this, it is important to take the right steps and our organization did that.”
