RALLS COUNTY, Mo. – A northeast Missouri woman was injured in a single-vehicle crash in Ralls County Monday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. On private property off of Elder Trail, approximately ten miles southeast of Monroe City.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, an SUV driven by an 85-year-old woman from Monroe City was heading north at the time of the crash.
For an unknown reason, the SUV went off the roadway and came to rest in a pond.
The woman received serious injuries in the crash and was taken by helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment.
The report states she was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
