BBC to Broadcast Women’s Tour of Britain Live

The Lloyds Women’s Tour of Britain will be broadcast live on BBC iPlayer,the BBC Sport website and app,as part of the broadcaster’s women’s Summer of Sport initiative. The four-day cycling race across England and Scotland begins June 5.
Several prominent British cyclists are slated to participate in the event. Among them are two-time champion Lizzie Deignan, her Lidl-Trek teammate and Olympic silver medalist Anna Henderson, Movistar’s Cat Ferguson, and Imogen Wolff of Visma-Lease a Bike.
The BBC’s Women’s Summer of Sport coverage also includes the Women’s Euros, Women’s Rugby World Cup, World Athletics Championships, Wimbledon, The Hundred cricket tournament, and the tennis at Queen’s.
Alex Kay-Jelski, Director of BBC Sport, said the Tour of Britain Women will be a highlight of the summer. He added that the BBC is delighted to bring the event to fans across the U.K. through its digital platforms.
