Wordle Today: A Savvy Strategy and Competitive Showdown
Table of Contents
The latest Wordle puzzle presented a familiar challenge, and after a somewhat shaky start, I managed to land on the correct answer with a strategic choice. Let’s dive into today’s Wordle, my thought process, and how it played out in our ongoing competitive score.
Today’s Wordle Answer and My Strategy
My initial guess, ”SLATE,” yielded some useful details, highlighting the letters ’S’ and ‘L’ but not in their correct positions. the second guess, “CRANE,” was a bit more aggressive, aiming to test common letters and positions. Unfortunately,it didn’t hit the mark, leaving me with a rather uninspiring set of green and yellow letters.
The third guess, “SPARK,” was a more targeted approach, incorporating the confirmed ‘S’ and trying out other common consonants. This guess was a turning point, revealing that the ’S’ was indeed the first letter. However,it also confirmed that ‘P’ and ‘A’ were not in the word, and ‘R’ was in the wrong spot.
This left me with a narrowed-down set of possibilities. The remaining letters were ’V’, ‘Y’, and a few others I hadn’t tested yet. My options were limited, and I had to consider words that started with ‘S’ and contained ‘R’ in the second-to-last position.
My fourth guess was “SHARP,” which unfortunately didn’t pan out. This was a bit frustrating, as it felt like I was close but just couldn’t quite nail it. The game then informed me that I had only two guesses left, and the pressure was on.My fifth guess was “STAIR,” which also proved incorrect. This is where things got really tight. I was down to my last two guesses, and the available letters were becoming increasingly scarce.
The sixth and final guess was “SAVVY.” This felt like a bit of a gamble, as it contained a double letter, which I usually try to avoid early on. Though, with the letters I had remaining, it seemed like the most logical choice. thankfully, it paid off! “SAVVY” was the correct answer, and I managed to solve the puzzle on my last try.
