This early disbursement will provide a welcome financial boost to over 1.21 million households, totaling a staggering $578.9 billion in tax incentives. This represents a $55.4 billion increase compared to last year, with the average household receiving $480,000.
The IRS highlighted the diverse range of households benefiting from these incentives. Single-income households make up the largest group, accounting for 780,000 recipients (64.8%), followed by single-person households at 390,000 (31.9%) and dual-income households at 40,000 (3.3%).

For those who need assistance or have questions, the IRS has established several support channels. Taxpayers can check their payment status through the automated response system (1-800-829-1040), the “Incentive Counseling Center” (1-800-829-1040), or through the IRS website (www.irs.gov).
