LONDON, April 8, 2025 (PRNewswire) – The United States continues to lead the world in wealth concentration, according to the “World’s Wealthiest Cities Report 2025.” The report, which ranks the top 50 cities globally by their number of millionaires, features 11 U.S.cities. The city with the most is New York City.
New York City boasts 349,500 millionaires, 818 centi-millionaires (individuals with over $100 million in net assets), and 66 billionaires, securing its position at the top of the list, according to the annual report by Henley & Partners and New world Health.
Bay Area Ranks Second, Dubai Sees Fastest Growth
The Bay Area, encompassing San Francisco and Silicon Valley, follows in second place with 305,700 millionaires. The region is home to 82 billionaires and has experienced a 98% increase in its millionaire population over the past decade, fueled by the technology sector.
Though, several cities are experiencing even faster growth in their millionaire populations. Hangzhou and Shenzhen, both in China, and Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, have all outpaced the Bay Area’s growth rate between 2014 and 2024. Dubai, with 81,200 millionaires, jumped from 21st to 18th place in the rankings within the last year.
Seoul Experiences Largest Decline
In contrast, Seoul experienced the most meaningful decline, falling from 19th to 24th place in the rankings.
