Wrapped in Pink: The Unconventional Passion of Zhang Zhilong
Zhang Jilong’s Fan Meeting in Taiwan: A Night to Remember
Korean star Jang Ki-young, also known as Zhang Jilong, held a fan meeting at Legacy Max in Taipei on the 21st, attracting a crowd of 1,150 people. The event, titled “Taipei Fan Meeting”, was a huge success despite the unexpected earthquake that struck the city.
As the 25th anniversary of the September 21st earthquake coincided with the fan meeting, a sudden magnitude 5.3 earthquake hit the area. Zhang Jilong quickly reassured the audience, saying, ”We must be safe where we are. Everyone must remain calm at this time.” His prompt response helped to ease the tension and ensure the safety of the attendees.
During the fan meeting, Zhang Jilong noticed that the majority of the audience were male fans. When asked why they liked him, one enthusiastic fan replied, ”No one will compete with me. There is only me and him in the world.” Zhang Jilong also shared some previously undisclosed photos, including one of a trip to Gangwon Province with his family. He asked the fans for recommendations on places to visit in Taiwan, with some suggesting the “Keelung Night Market”.
As the event progressed, Zhang Jilong reviewed some of his past works, laughing and commenting on the fans’ fondness for the hug and kiss scenes. He playfully promised to include more of these scenes in his future projects, saying, “I will try to shoot more of them in the future. Of course, I will make you jealous.”
The highlight of the evening was when Zhang Jilong chose lucky fans to recreate some of his classic scenes. He engaged in intimate interactions, such as “covering the quilt and just chatting”, and generously hugged every fan who came on stage. The audience was thrilled, screaming continuously throughout the show.
