WrestleMania 42 Opening Matches Confirmed for Both Nights

WWE has officially confirmed the opening matches for both nights of WrestleMania 42, which will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. The announcements were made during the April 13, 2026, edition of WWE Raw, detailing the bouts that will set the tone for the two-day event on April 18 and April 19.

Night One Opening Match

WrestleMania 42 will begin on Saturday, April 18, with a six-man tag team match. The team of Logan Paul, Austin Theory, and IShowSpeed will face off against LA Knight and The Usos. This match is scheduled to be simulcast on ESPN2.

The buildup for the match featured IShowSpeed on WWE Raw, where he was depicted dealing with nerves regarding his upcoming in-ring debut. Reports indicate that a training session with The Vision helped increase his confidence leading into the event.

Night Two Opening Match

The second night of the event, Sunday, April 19, will open with a high-profile singles match between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi. This bout will be simulcast on ESPN.

The match was established through a segment on WWE Raw involving a contract signing. Lesnar and Femi signed their contracts individually, with Lesnar appearing first to sign his portion. During the proceedings, Paul Heyman predicted that Lesnar would emerge victorious over Femi.
