Turki Al-Sheikh,⁢ a ⁢prominent figure⁢ in Saudi ‍Arabian sports and entertainment, credited Crown prince⁤ Mohammed bin⁣ Salman for his support in securing the event. Al-Sheikh recounted initial discussions ‍with vince McMahon and ‌Triple H​ (Paul Levesque) ‍approximately eight years ⁢ago, while serving as the Minister of Sport. He stated‍ he ⁣proposed a long-term ​partnership⁢ focused on “big projects” to McMahon‍ and ‍levesque, hoping to see those ideas come to fruition.

“First of all, I want to ⁢thank ⁢the crown Prince, who supported us. Without him,⁢ we can⁣ not do anything, and ⁤with his support, especially also for WWE, this will happen ⁤in our country,” Al-Sheikh said, according to reporting‍ from Wrestling Inc.. ⁤”And before ⁤eight years ago, I meet ‍my​ father, Vince McMahon,‌ and Triple H, in ‌my home when I was the ‍Minister of Sport in ⁤my country, and ⁣I say to them, ‘Let’s go and have change‌ into‌ the future doing big project ⁣together.’ I hope we deliver now some of what we say.”

Nick Khan⁣ and Continuing the WWE Legacy

Al-Sheikh ​also praised current WWE‍ President​ Nick Khan for ​continuing the vision established by McMahon.He highlighted ​Khan’s role in ⁤bringing WrestleMania to Saudi ⁣Arabia as a major accomplishment.‍ He specifically noted the ⁣anticipated economic ⁣benefits, drawing parallels to WrestleMania 39 in Las Vegas.

“A couple of years ⁣ [ago] ​my close friend, Nick khan, became the President ⁤of WWE. Now,we⁢ are ‌saying to him that ⁢’you are continuing the legacy of Vince McMahon,and you ⁢delivered for us a‌ very ⁤big project,and very‍ big‍ surprise ⁣will come in​ this‌ year⁤ and next⁤ year,'” Al-Sheikh explained. He projected that wrestlemania in ⁤Las ⁢Vegas ⁤generated approximately $1.5⁣ billion for the city‌ and anticipates a similar economic impact from the Saudi Arabian⁢ event.
