, was arrested on April 6, 2026, in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, on charges of domestic violence against his wife.
According to reports from multiple Mexican outlets, including Milenio and La Saga, Rodriguez was detained after his wife contacted emergency services via 911 to report that she was a victim of physical aggression. Officers from the State Civil Guard responded to the scene in the Lomas del Tec neighborhood of the capital of San Luis Potosí. Upon their arrival, officers found the woman with visible signs of violence, specifically suffering from injuries to her face and arms.
Rodriguez was taken into custody and is now under the jurisdiction of the Attorney General’s Office of the State of San Luis Potosí for the corresponding charges. According to the outlet LAAFICION, the potential punishment for domestic violence in this jurisdiction can range from one to seven years in prison.
History of Legal and Disciplinary Issues
This arrest follows a series of previous legal disputes and disciplinary actions involving Rodriguez. On May 9, 2020, he was arrested in San Antonio, Texas, after allegedly battering and sexually assaulting a girlfriend. He was booked into the Bexar County jail and faced charges of assault causing bodily harm and sexual assault.

Following his arrest in Texas, Rodriguez was released on $50,000 bail on May 10, 2020. By October 9, 2020, a grand jury indicted him, and he was formally charged with sexual assault and aggravated kidnapping.
The legal proceedings in Texas were delayed several times. The charges were eventually dropped on December 10, 2021, reportedly after a witness went missing before the trial could proceed.
In 2017, Rodriguez was suspended by Impact Wrestling. The suspension was the result of domestic violence issues involving his girlfriend at the time, Paige, also known as Saraya Bevis.
Rodriguez was suspended from the AAA promotion following an altercation with fans in Tijuana prior to his eventual departure from the organization.
Professional Wrestling Career
Rodriguez began his tenure with WWE in 2009 and made his debut on the company’s main roster in 2010. He achieved significant success early in his career, becoming the first person to win both the Royal Rumble and the Money in the Bank ladder match in the same year, 2011.
He remained with WWE until his departure in 2014. Following his exit from the company, he competed for several other wrestling organizations, including the World Wrestling Council, Wrestle-1, Ring of Honor, and the World Wrestling League.
Rodriguez also spent time with AAA and has continued to wrestle under the name Alberto El Patron.
