BMW M4 GT3 EVO teams experienced a weekend of highs and lows at Misano,⁤ wiht Team WRT securing a coveted⁤ victory but facing ⁣challenges that tempered overall success.Drivers shared their‍ thoughts on the performance, the atmosphere, and⁣ the path forward in the ⁢championship.

Team‌ WRT: Victory and Disappointment

Raffaele Marciello, driving the‍ #46 BMW M4 GT3 EVO⁤ for Team WRT, described the‍ weekend as “very good ” highlighting‌ the Saturday win ⁤as a especially special moment. “Especially sharing it with Valentino in front of the amazing Italian fans – that was fantastic,” ⁤Marciello commented. ‌However, a pit lane entry mistake on sunday led to a penalty, costing them a potential ⁤second podium.”That was disappointing, because a second podium would’ve been a perfect‍ way to finish the weekend,” he added.

His teammates,Kelvin van der Linde and ‍Charles Weerts, piloting the #32 BMW M4 GT3 EVO,expressed mixed feelings. Securing third and fifth place,‌ they⁣ acknowledged that their performance didn’t quite meet their high expectations for the Misano circuit, which typically suits them well. “We came to Misano with very high expectations,‌ and we weren’t quite able to meet them,” ⁢said van der⁤ Linde.⁣ “Still, third⁤ and fifth place are important points for the championship. ⁢We’re still⁤ leading the Sprint Cup, which is a positive.”

Weerts‌ echoed this sentiment, stating, “We definitely expected to be stronger. Third and fifth⁤ weren’t what ‍we were hoping for, ⁤especially on ‌a track that ‌usually ⁣suits us well – ‍and with the championship entering a crucial stage.” ⁢He pointed to “a few unexpected‌ challenges” affecting their performance and emphasized the need ⁣for closer ⁢analysis of certain ⁢areas.

AlManar Racing by WRT: Potential Unfulfilled

Jens Klingmann of AlManar Racing ⁣by WRT,⁤ in the #777 BMW M4 GT3 EVO, faced a‌ challenging weekend. Despite having a “very strong car,” they were unable to convert ⁢that pace into results, ‍leading to a DNF and a fourth-place finish in the Gold Cup. ‍”What hurts ⁣most ⁣is that we‌ actually had a very strong car, but ⁤couldn’t turn that into results,” Klingmann ⁤admitted.⁤ “That makes the disappointment ⁣even bigger.” On ⁢a positive note, he ‌highlighted the team’s progress, stating, “we’re making progress as⁤ a team from race to race, which gives us hope for ⁣the rest of the season.”

Paradine Competition: A ⁢Taste of Success and Safety⁢ First

Dan Harper of Paradine Competition, in the #991 BMW ⁣M4 GT3 EVO, enjoyed⁣ his return to the team. “I really enjoyed being back with Darren ‍and Paradine Competition. We always have fun and they give me a fast car,”⁣ Harper said. The ⁢Saturday podium was a highlight, with the champagne tasting‌ particularly sweet. ‌However, the pace of the leading⁤ Ferrari proved too ⁤much, and teammate Darren couldn’t gain⁤ ground‍ in the Bronze Cup.

Sunday brought a notable incident for Harper’s teammate.”On Sunday, Darren ⁤was involved⁤ in the big crash,” Harper reported.”The most critically ⁤important thing is that all drivers are okay. That shows how safe our GT3 cars are nowadays. In that sense, it was a very⁤ lucky day.”⁤ Despite penalties impacting‌ their sporting chances, Harper noted, “the car was ‍fast, and I still got ‌to put in some good laps.”

The Misano weekend served ‍as a stark reminder of the competitive nature of GT racing, with BMW M4 ‌GT3 ⁤EVO teams demonstrating both resilience and the constant pursuit ⁢of perfection.
