Barrow initially took the lead when Nicole Stewart crossed the try line and successfully converted, giving her team an early advantage. Though,St Helens responded before the half-hour mark. Phoebe Hook sprinted down the right wing to score, though Faye GaskinS conversion attempt was unsuccessful.
Hook soon added her second try, again in the right corner, putting st helens ahead 8-6 for the first time. After halftime, St Helens extended their lead. Gaskin’s well-placed kick into Barrow’s 20 was collected by Rachael Woosey, who then sprinted clear to score a try.
