French tennis player Lois Boisson experienced a meteoric rise in the WTA rankings, climbing 296 places to No. 65 after her semifinal appearance at the french Open. Before the tournament, Boisson was ranked No. 361.
Coco Gauff, who defeated Boisson in the semifinals, secured her first French Open title. The latest rankings show Aryna Sabalenka holding the top spot, followed by Gauff adn Jessica Pegula.
Boisson, a wild-card entry, made a stunning run at Roland Garros, upsetting third-seeded Pegula in the quarterfinals and then defeating Mirra Andreeva before falling to Gauff.
