ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) and Tennis Channel have finalized a six-year agreement granting Tennis Channel the U.S. broadcast rights for WTA tournaments through 2032. This agreement aims to enhance the role of women’s tennis on U.S. television.
The deal, announced Wednesday, involves WTA Ventures and covers events outside the United States. Tournaments held within the U.S. are subject to separate broadcast contracts.
The agreement arrives as American women’s tennis enjoys considerable success. Currently, four U.S. players hold spots in the WTA’s top 10 rankings: Coco Gauff (No. 2), Jessica Pegula (No. 3), Madison Keys (No. 6),and Emma Navarro (No. 10).
