WV Couple Arrested After Child and Dogs Found in Filthy Home
Dakota McIe and Ciarra Lacey were arrested in West Virginia following the discovery of a young child and three dogs living inside a residence heavily contaminated with animal feces, trash, and vomit, according to local law enforcement authorities.
According to police statements, responding officers described the living conditions inside the home as repulsive. The interior of the residence contained accumulation of garbage, waste, and refuse that created a hazardous environment for any occupants.
Investigators found a child residing in the unsanitary dwelling alongside three dogs. Child protective services were subsequently notified to evaluate the welfare and secure immediate housing and care arrangements for the minor involved.
Law enforcement booked both McIe and Lacey on related charges stemming from the deplorable home conditions. Officials have not yet released additional details regarding the specific legal counts filed against the pair or the current medical condition of the child.
