WWE and AAA joined forces for Worlds Collide, a wrestling event broadcast live from the Kia Forum in Los Angeles.The show, a collaborative effort between the two promotions, streamed free on YouTube.
The main event featured AAA Mega Champion El Hijo del Vikingo defending his title against WWE’s Chad Gable. This marked Vikingo’s debut match in a WWE ring.In another title defense, Ethan Page put his NXT North American Championship on the line against Je’Von Evans, Rey Fenix, and Laredo Kid in a four-way match.
Stephanie Vaquer from WWE teamed with NXT’s Lola Vice to face AAA’s Chik Tormenta and Dalys in tag team action. two trios matches also highlighted the card. Santos Escobar, Angel, and Berto battled Psycho Clown, El Hijo de Dr.Wagner Jr., and pagano from AAA. Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Lince Dorado (substituting for the injured Joaquin Wilde) took on AAA’s Aero Star, Octagon Jr., and Mr. iguana.
The show opened with a video narrated by Rey Mysterio, emphasizing WWE/TKO’s acquisition of AAA and the events leading up to worlds Collide. Corey Graves and Konnan provided commentary, with Marcelo Rodriguez leading the Spanish commentary team.
