There are some big matches coming up in the PLE.

WWE returns to the international stage, with Bash in Berlin set to be the next premium live event on the European continent.

After the huge success of Clash at the Castle (Scotland) and Money in the Bank (Toronto), and ahead of Survivor Series (Vancouver), Paul Levesque has made it clear that he plans to expand the promotion into larger global markets.

The second PLE, taking place in August (there is no September schedule) will focus on the latest developments in various storylines that emerged at SummerSlam.

With Roman Reigns returning, many expected the Bloodline civil war to be a major theme this round, with WWE showing off multiple current belt holders defending their championships.

  • Cody Rhodes x Kane Owens (WWE Undisputed Championship)
  • Randy Orton x Gunther (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
  • Unholy Union vs Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (WWE Women’s World Tag Championship)
  • Rhea Ripley and Damien Priest vs. Liv Morgan and Dirty Dome Mysterio
  • CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match

Cody Rhodes x Kane Owens (WWE Undisputed Championship)

When this match was first announced, I wasn’t sure how these two would match up. And now, a few weeks later, I still have the same opinion. WWE is pushing the idea that Kevin Owens will turn heel after the loss, as I predicted from the beginning. But since WWE has sorted that out, Cody Rhodes may not be affected.

Randy Orton x Gunther (WWE World Heavyweight Championship)

Randy Orton would emerge as the face, but Gunther would become the crowd favorite when the show moved to Europe. Gunther would win the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam and would hold it for a long time.

I’m not talking about the year, I’m talking about the rest of 2024, probably. The show will end with Gunther winning the championship.

Unholy Union vs Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair (WWE Women’s World Tag Championship)

When WWE gave the belts to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill, I thought we were done with paper champions. No, not really. The Unholy Union (Alva Fire and Isla Dern) won the gold shortly after. If the former champions get their titles back, the Scottish title change is purely for the fans. I believe the belts will change hands. Belair and Cargill had an absolute dominance for six months.

Rhea Ripley and Damien Priest vs. Liv Morgan and Dirty Dome Mysterio

If Damien Priest and Rhea Ripley win, will their rivalry end? Same question if Dominic Mysterio and Liv Morgan win. Let the heels win so the angle can develop naturally and grow around Survivor Series.

CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match

Drew McIntyre gets revenge on CM Punk at SummerSlam. But we knew they were going to be fighting for months. We believe Punk will win his first televised match after returning to WWE. They will continue touring throughout the fall and then go their separate ways when Royal Rumble comes around. Hopefully Punk won’t get injured in such a tough match.

  • In the United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, the broadcast will be streamed live on Peacock on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 1 p.m. ET, 12 p.m. CT, and 10 a.m. PT.
  • In Canada, PLE will be broadcast live on Sportsnet NOW every Monday beginning Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. ET.
  • In the UK and Ireland, it will be broadcast live on TNT Sports on Sunday, August 31, 2024 at 6pm.
  • In India, PLE will be telecast live on Sony Sports Network (Sony Liv, Sony Ten 1, Sony Ten 1 HD, Sony Ten 3, Sony Ten 4, Sony Ten 4 HD) on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 10:30 PM IST.
  • In Saudi Arabia, the show will be broadcast live on Shahid on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 8:00 PM EST.
  • In Australia, it will be streamed live on Binge on Sunday 1 September 2024 at 3am AEST.
  • In France, it will air live on WWE Network on Sunday, August 31, 2024 at 7:00 PM ET.
