WWE Evolution 2: Battle Royal Confirmed

Huge Battle Royal Announced for WWE Evolution 2 – The lineup for WWE Evolution 2 began to take shape during the June 30 episode of RAWand the most important addition was the announcement of a high-stakes Battle Royal.

In a video package, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown GM Nick Aldis revealed that a multi-brand Battle Royal will be held at the Evolution 2 premium live event. The winner will receive a WWE Women’s Championship match at Clash at Paris on August 31. Specific participants for the Battle Royal have not yet been announced, but the opportunity will span talent from across RAW, SmackDownand NXT.

As noted earlier, WWE Women’s World Champion IYO SKY opened the show by interrupting Rhea Ripley. SKY stated that Pearce had granted her permission to choose her opponent for Evolution. Declaring she wants to defend her title against the best, SKY officially challenged Ripley to a match at Evolution 2. Ripley accepted, setting the stage for a showdown between two of WWE’s most dominant women.

Another update came in the form of the Women’s Tag Team Championships. With Life Morgan sidelined due to injury, Finn suggested backstage that Raquel Rodriguez be allowed to keep the titles and defend them with a new partner. Roxanne Perez was proposed, and Pearce approved—on one condition. Raquel and Roxanne will defend the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles at Evolution in a Fatal Four-Way Match against one team each from RAW, SmackDownand NXT.
