WWE NXT Not Heading to 2300 Arena, Despite Rumors
Contrary to earlier reports, WWE NXT will not be holding a live television taping at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia in August. The initial rumor,circulated by WrestleVotes,suggested a show on Tuesday,Aug. 19, one week before all Elite Wrestling (AEW) begins its residency at the same venue.
However, PWInsider reports that the 2300 Arena has no WWE events scheduled. WWE has not announced any NXT tapings at the arena. NXT previously held a live show at the 2300 Arena last November.
AEW is scheduled to begin its run at the 2300 Arena with Dynamite on Wednesday, Aug. 27. The promotion will also hold its Death Before Dishonor event at the arena on Friday, Sept. 5.
