NXT Could hit the Road More Often in 2026

WWE is considering a meaningful change for its developmental brand, NXT, by filming more television episodes outside of the WWE Performance center in Orlando, starting in‌ 2026.Currently, NXT is largely based and filmed in​ orlando, but internal discussions are underway to increase the number of shows held‍ in different locations beginning next year.

Why the ‌Change?

The primary goal is⁤ to provide NXT talent with more diverse experience. WWE officials believe that performing in front of ⁢varied crowds ⁢and‍ in different venues will better prepare wrestlers for​ the transition to the main roster⁤ shows, RAW and ⁣SmackDown. This increased exposure will give them valuable “reps” ‌in dealing with unfamiliar audiences and larger settings – something currently limited by⁣ the consistent crowd at the Performance Center.

CW Network support

the CW Network, NXT’s⁣ broadcast partner as late 2024, is supportive of‌ the idea, believing it could enhance the overall television product and presentation as the brand ⁢establishes itself on broadcast television.

Performance Center Remains Key

Despite the potential for more road episodes, the WWE Performance Center will remain NXT’s primary home base. The expansion is expected to ​be selective, not a complete overhaul of the weekly operation.
