WWE Title Match Rule Change – Saturday Night’s Main Event
No Disqualification Stipulation added to Rhodes vs. McIntyre Championship Match
A No Disqualification stipulation has been added to the Undisputed WWE Championship match between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre at Saturday night’s Main Event on November 1, 2025.
Contract Signing and Escalation
The stipulation arose from a heated contract signing segment on friday’s SmackDown. McIntyre referenced their previous title match where Rhodes retained the championship by disqualification. Rhodes then offered McIntyre a no Disqualification match, a proposal initially cautioned against by SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis, but ultimately insisted upon by Rhodes.
The situation escalated when McIntyre brought up Rhodes’ daughters, leading to a physical altercation. Rhodes was ultimately distracted and power-bombed through a table by McIntyre.
