WWE announced on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, that WrestleMania 42 achieved record or near-record performances across multiple metrics, establishing it as one of the highest-grossing events in company history.

The event, held over the weekend at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, drew a total attendance of 106,072 fans representing all 50 U.S. States and more than 69 countries worldwide.

WrestleMania Saturday featured a headline bout in which WWE Champion Cody Rhodes successfully defended his title against former mentor Randy Orton, despite interference attempts by Pat McAfee.

Several championship changes occurred during the Saturday proceedings, including Liv Morgan capturing the Women’s World Championship after receiving assistance from her Judgment Day allies Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez in her victory over Stephanie Vaquer.

Becky Lynch defeated AJ Lee to become a three-time Women’s Intercontinental Champion, marking her fifth career win at WrestleMania—the most by any female competitor in the event’s history.

The crowd witnessed a surprise return as Paige stepped into a WWE ring for the first time in over eight years, teaming with Brie Bella to win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles as a replacement for the injured Nikki Bella.
