El Hijo del Vikingo successfully defended his AAA Mega Championship against Chad Gable at WWE x AAA Worlds Collide, held at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
The match featured a blend of technical wrestling and high-flying maneuvers. Early on, Vikingo targeted GableS arm with multiple submission attempts.The action spilled outside when Gable missed a move and hit the ring post. Vikingo followed with a hurricanrana and a running knee strike,then a dive to the floor. Gable briefly gained control after Vikingo’s attempted shooting star press was countered.
The AAA Mega Championship match intensified as both wrestlers exchanged near-falls. Vikingo connected with a code breaker and a double foot stomp,but Gable responded with an inside-out piledriver. Vikingo then hit a leaping Panama Sunrise on the apron, but Gable kicked out. A moonsault from Gable through a table turned the tide, but Vikingo rallied, reversing a German suplex and landing a poisonrana and running knee strike before sealing the victory with a 630 splash.
