WWE’s ‘Monday Night Raw’ Premieres on Netflix January 6
WWE‘s Monday Night Raw Moves to Netflix
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) will premiere its first episode of “Monday Night Raw” on Netflix on January 6. The event will take place at the Intuit Dome.
WWE Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque announced the news during Travis Scott’s concert at ComplexCon in Las Vegas. Starting in January, Netflix will stream “Raw” in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, and Latin America, with plans to expand to more countries over time.
Netflix will also showcase all WWE shows globally, including major live events like WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Royal Rumble. Travis Scott’s new music will serve as the theme song for “Monday Night Raw.”
This announcement follows a challenging weekend for Netflix. Viewers reported streaming issues during the fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. According to Down Detector, about 85,000 users experienced outages leading up to the bout.
Netflix reported a global audience of 60 million for the fight, peaking at 65 million concurrent viewers. Nearly 50 million households watched the co-main event featuring Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
Additionally, Netflix plans to broadcast two NFL games on Christmas Day.
