December 19, 2025 David Thompson Sports

WWE Raw Announcement – December 18th, 1995

Attention WWE Universe!

Please be advised that there will be no episode of Monday ⁣Night Raw next week, December 25th, as we all celebrate Christmas!

But don’t worry, the⁤ action will return on January 1st with a groundbreaking event: ⁣the first-ever WWF Raw ⁢Bowl! Eight of your favorite ⁤WWF Superstars will compete ‌in a can’t-miss spectacle! Stay‌ tuned for more details!

(And as reported from ⁤tonight’s show…)

Tonight’s Raw featured a… unique exchange between Dok Hendrix and Intercontinental Champion Razor Ramon regarding the affections of Goldust. ⁣Ramon made it abundantly clear he’s not interested in Goldust’s advances, stating his preference for women and politely suggesting Goldust‌ take his… ‌interests elsewhere. Mr. McMahon⁢ himself deemed the ⁣segment “appalling.”

The show also included a somber video package focusing on Shawn Michaels, hinting at a potential end to⁣ his career.

Swift Match Results:

* Jeff Jarrett def. “Make a Difference” Fatu via DQ
* Buddy‌ Landel def.⁣ Bob “Spark Plugg” Holly
* Razor Ramon ‍(c) def. Yokozuna via ⁣Count Out to retain ‍the WWF Intercontinental Championship

A ⁣Night to Remember (or Forget?) in the ‌Monday Night War

Tonight’s Raw‌ was, unfortunately, a lackluster showing for‌ the WWF. While WCW was making waves, WWF delivered a show filled with underwhelming matches and a questionable video package.

And speaking of waves… tonight will forever be remembered for a shocking‌ moment in wrestling history. ⁤While Raw aired, Alundra Blayze‍ (Madusa) appeared on WCW Monday Nitro and infamously threw the WWF Women’s Championship into a trash can! This act effectively ended the WWF’s women’s division for years to come, ‌and visibly impacted Vince McMahon during tonight’s broadcast.
