The Market insights & Networking (MIA) event, scheduled to run from October 6-10, has announced a selection of projects that will be presented to international buyers. These include a new television series from Canadian filmmaker Xavier Dolan, a Dutch series centered around a Holocaust orphan, and a dramedy set in Palestine.

“Red Light Empire” Explores Post-Holocaust Amsterdam
The Dutch TV series “Red Light empire” will also be presented at MIA. The series focuses on the story of a Holocaust orphan who strives to build an empire within Amsterdam’s red-light district. The project is produced by Dutch production group Lemming Film.
“Guests” Offers a Look at Palestinian Life
“Guests,” a dramedy produced by Palestine and Jordan-based Philistine Films, will also be showcased. The series follows Shadi as he returns to his bedouin village in Palestine to assist his mother in managing a guesthouse.
