Xiaomi has expanded its mobile portfolio with the release of the Xiaomi 17 and the Redmi Note 15 series, offering a stark contrast between high-end flagship performance and budget-oriented utility. The Xiaomi 17, officially announced on October 25, 2025, and released on October 27, 2025, targets the premium segment, while the Redmi Note 15 serves as an entry-level alternative.

Xiaomi 17: Flagship Specifications and Performance

The Xiaomi 17 is positioned as a powerhouse device, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SM8850-AC chipset. This 3 nm processor utilizes an octa-core architecture, including two Oryon V3 Phoenix L cores clocked at 4.6GHz and three Oryon V3 Phoenix M cores clocked at 3.62GHz. This hardware is paired with the Adreno 840 GPU.

In terms of raw performance, the Xiaomi 17 achieves an AnTuTu score of 3,453,123, significantly higher than the 2,431,158 score recorded for the Xiaomi 15. Battery life benchmarks via PC Mark show the Xiaomi 17 lasting 16 hours and 32 minutes, compared to 13 hours and 44 minutes for the Xiaomi 15.

The device features a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. The screen resolution is 2656x1220px, providing a pixel density of 464 PPI. For security, it employs an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The Xiaomi 17 is available in Black, Blue, Pink, and White. It is constructed with a glass back and an aluminum frame, carrying an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. The base model with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage is priced at €999.

Redmi Note 15: Budget-Focused Design

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15, released on January 06, 2026, and officially announced on December 18, 2025, focuses on accessibility. It is priced significantly lower than the flagship, with the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration retailing for €210.

Unlike the flagship, the Redmi Note 15 uses a Mediatek Helio G100 Ultra (6 nm) chipset. This octa-core processor consists of two Cortex-A76 cores at 2.2GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2.0GHz, supported by a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The device features a larger 6.8-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a brightness of 3,200 nits. The resolution is 2392x1080px with a 388 PPI density.
