Amazon has reduced the price of the Xiaomi 17T to £499, marking a £150 discount from its recommended retail price of £649. The price adjustment comes immediately following the device’s official launch on May 28, 2026.

The reduction positions the device as a competitive option for users seeking flagship-tier hardware, specifically in the areas of optical zoom and battery capacity, at a mid-range price point.

A primary feature of the Xiaomi 17T is its camera system, which is co-engineered with Leica. The hardware includes a high-resolution periscope lens capable of 5x optical zoom and 10x lossless optical-grade zoom.

Periscope lenses utilize a prism to bend light 90 degrees, allowing the lens elements to be stacked horizontally across the phone’s body. This design enables a longer focal length without requiring the camera module to protrude significantly from the chassis.

The system utilizes Leica Summilux optical lenses. This hardware is paired with image-processing software designed to maintain color accuracy and exposure levels when capturing subjects at a distance.
